A great partnership was forged at Autosport this year between MTECH Racing and ITC who supply Tools and Toolboxes to the Race Team for the 2009 British GT Championship.
Here's the latest Race News Update:
At the British GT Championship MTECH finished 2nd at Donington Park. This weekend sees the team at Silverstone for another 2hr race.
The BRITCAR team did well at Spa in Spain recently to win the class and came 3rd overall before heading off to Castle Combe last week where a backmarker collided with Mike whilst in 2nd place resulting in a retirement.
MTECH recently took over Reon Motorsport which is a BARC Formula Renault single seater team. Last weekend they raced at Donington Park with MTECH running the team for the first time with great success.....2 pole positions, 2 wins and a fastest lap - the driver Dino Zamparelli is only 16 years old!!
Mike Topp - Team Manager had this to say about ITC's Toolboxes & Tools:
"The toolboxes have been a great success. With a good selection of tools and with each drawer being divided up it makes checking for missing tools easy to do. Compared to many workshops our toolboxes get moved around a great deal, particularly being wheeled onto the trucks and out into pit garages. The boxes are standing up to this punishment very well."
MTECH Racing was formed in 2006 by Mike Edmonds to run Ferrari 360 Challenge cars in the Castle Combe Special GT Championship.
After winning the 2007 Castle Combe GT Championship with Duncan Cameron as one of the drivers, 2008 sees MTECH Racing move into BRITCAR with two Ferrari F430 GT3s, whilst retaining the 360s for GT Cup duties. Duncan Cameron / Mike Edmonds take 3rd place in 2008 Britcar Championship
